Careers

“Careers” is a daily, syndicated, 2 minute TV news segment,

that explores the real-life world of real-life careers in America.

During each segment, the viewer will get the opportunity to experience the intricacies associated within the daily work-day.

Through the eye of the camera, using artistic, well produced shots, and through closely recorded sound, the viewer will “feel” exactly what it’s like to be on the job.

Each segment will be self contained.  It will start with a montage of help wanted ads, landing on today’s career. There will be no host.  The pictures and the sounds will tell the story.

During each segment, the viewer will also learn information about the job while they are taken on an audio and visual tour.

Each segment will feature one person who we will follow around for a typical day on their job. The footage will  be intercut with answers from their interviews to questions like:

1.   How did they get into this career?

2.   What do they do each day on their job?

3.   What does this person like about their career?

4.   What doesn’t this person like about their career?

5.   Where do they think this career will lead them?

6.   Why would they recommend this career?

7.   Why wouldn’t they recommend this career?

The purpose of “Careers” is to give the viewer a quick summary of what it’s like to do a job other than their own.

It’s human nature to ask what another person does for a living.  This segment will fulfill that curiosity, while at the same time, it will give some viewers the inspiration to pursue a new career opportunity of their own.

It’s intended to be used in daily newscasts as a sponsored segment. With most TV markets now needing to fill early morning, noon, evening, and late night newscasts, this fully produced segment will guarantee 2 minutes of feature news that can be packaged with local sponsors.

5 segments will be distributed via satellite on a weekly basis.

Possible packaging for sales to schools, rehab centers, libraries, and the web.
